My name is Joana Araújo.
My part of London is the river part.
My earliest musical memory of London is me singing an a cappella song for my baby niece.
The moment I realised I could sing was when my father played the guitar for me.
When I am not at a Snapshot Songs rehearsal you will mostly find me walking to all the places that I want to be.
A song that changes the way I’m feeling no matter where I am when it comes on is Galinhas do Mato by José (Zeca) Afonso.
If I could only listen to one song for the rest of my life it would have to be Song for the Asking by Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel.
A typical thing you might hear me say is “I don’t have time!”
One word I would use to describe the Snapshot Songs choir is “unique”.
