Snapshot Songs is an exciting new music project that will involve 150 people coming together with International award-winning composer Stuart Hancock to create and perform a song-cycle that represents the many voices of London today. |
Anything from Jazz, to Classical, Indie, R 'n' B and Soul, to poetry and spoken word. We're really open and excited about what you might bring to the project! |
We are looking for people of all ages, you don't need any previous singing experience to join, just talent and passion. We're looking for both soloists and people who want to sing in a choir. |

No. We welcome singers from all backgrounds, whether you sing in the shower or are classically trained. Our creative team will be there to support you along the way. |
Yes, there will be a series of auditions taking place in November. We're also organising informal workshops in September and October, where you can hear more about the project and meet the team. |

Simply subscribe online to hear more about the project and to receive details about the taster sessions and auditions. |
We'll be meeting at different venues in London, including the Barbican, but final rehearsals will take place in Guildhall School of Music & Drama's new Milton Court building, right next to the Barbican and Guildhall School of Music & Drama. |
We'll be holding weekly sessions for choir members (each about 2 hours long). There will also be regular rehearsals for soloists, which will be arranged on an individual basis. |

No. Snapshot Songs is free to take part in, you will not be asked for money. |
Snapshot Songs is being run by a creative team including SHM Foundation and Barbican/Guildhall Creative Learning. You'll be working with composer Stuart Hancock and conductor Peter Ash from London Schools Symphony Orchestra (LSSO) to create a song-cycle and to shape a final performance with 150 members from the London community. |
